Brook Hill baseball



NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — The Brook Hill Guard and the League City Bay Area Christian Broncos tied 3-3 on Friday in the Private School Baseball Classic at Fort Worth Christian School.

Aidan Mason, Thijs Bobeldijk and Landon Mattox had singles for Brook Hill with Mason and Bobeldijk driving in runs. Scoring runs were Seth Moss, Carson Richards and Mason.

Mason also had a stolen base with Boston Durrett and Cole Fitzgerald contributing sacrifices.

Boone Evans (3 innings, 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 earned runs, 5 strikeouts, 2 walks) and Mason (2 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk) combined on the hill for BH.



NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — Aidan Mason's two-out RBI single brought home Seth Moss with the go-ahead run as the Brook Hill Guard scored a 2-1 win over Dallas Bishop Lynch in the Private School Baseball Classic at Fort Worth Christian School.

The victory moves the Guard to 3-0 on the season. The Friars, who defeated FW Christian 2-1 earlier in the day, fall to 3-3.

Mason York (3.2 innings, 6 hits, 1 unearned run, 2 strikeouts, 1 walk) and Cade Chesley (1.1 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 3 strikeouts, 3 walks) combined on the seven-hitter. Chesley got the win.

With the game tied at 1-1, Moss walked to open the inning. He stole second and went to third on a grounder by Carson Richards. After an out Mason singled to right to plate Moss for the 2-1 lead.

Brook Hill went up 1-0 in the third as Richards reached on a walk, stole second and moved to third after consecutive walks by Tanner French and Mason. He then scored on a passed ball.

The Friars tied the game at 1-1 in the fifth.

Mason and Landon Mattox got the hits for the Guard.
