ALTO - The Alto Yellow Jackets went old school Friday night, rushing for 309 yards en route to a 44-21 win over the Big Sandy Wildcats at Yellow Jacket Stadium.

Alto quarterback Fred Thacker led the way with 182 yards rushing and four touchdowns on 11 carries. The Yellow Jackets had zero passing yards.

Running back Nick Pope added 118 yards and a TD on seven attempts for the ’Jackets.

Victor Hernandez made five of six extra point attempts.

Alto (2-0) returns to action on Friday, hosting Arp at 7:30 p.m. Big Sandy (1-1) travels to Clarksville on Friday.
