All Saints headed to state

LORENA - The All Saints Trojans are headed to the state basketball tournament.

Sean Phillips hit for 24 points and Sam deBoer added 15 as the No. 5 Trojans scored a 65-46 win over No. 10 Austin St. Michael's on Saturday in a TAPPS Class 5A regional final at Lorena High School.

The Trojans (25-7) advance to the Final Four where they will play Frisco Legacy Christian, a 64-51 winner over Cedar Hill Trinity Christian at 1 p.m. Thursday on the Abilene Christian University campus in West Texas.

The Crusaders conclude their season at 26-13.

Scottie Turner had a near double-double for the Trojans, scoring nine points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Will Sharkey added nine points with deBoer contributing seven boards.

Lance Lee had six points, four rebounds, two steals and a block.

The Trojans' biggest lead in the first half came at 32-12 when Lee made two free throws with 2:47 on the clock in the second quarter.

However, the Crusaders, led by twins Keith Reynolds and Keyon Reynolds, scored 11 straight points to trail at halftime 32-23.

However, the Trojans got back on track and the Crusaders never got closer than 11 and that came on a 3-pointer by Keith Reynolds with 5:40 left in the game. That trey pulled St. Michael's within 50-39.

Keith Reynolds led the Crusaders with 29 points.
