CARROLLTON — Playing in still-warm conditions on a balmy Friday night here at Eagles Stadium, about the only thing that could slow down the high-powered offense of Prince of Peace Lutheran was dehydration.

Several of the Eagles had to be treated for cramps but not without piling on 73 points to All Saints Episcopal’s 41 in a private school offensive showcase here Friday night. Both teams are now 1-2 for the 2019 season.

The Eagles never passed but accumulated an astonishing 628 yards rushing while All Saints impressed through the air with 301 yards.

Prince of Peace scored three times and converted all three two-point conversions to take 24-0 lead after the first quarter but All Saints responded quickly in the second quarter behind the passing of sophomore quarterback Cor'Dell Radway and the receiving of Trojans' Logan Francis, DJ White and Cody Brewer. Radway connected for TDs of 42 and 32 to Francis, 39 to White and 35 to Brewer.

But All Saints could not slow down the Prince of Peace attack led by all-purpose back Devontae Knowlton who ended the game with six touchdowns and 325 yards on 27 carries, some at running back and some as the quarterback.

Another novelty of the game was the prevalence of on-sides kicks by both Prince of Peace and All Saints with the Eagles successfully recovering three and the Trojans one. The first half ended with All Saints down by 26, 53-27, in a half that featured 80 total points.

The second half was a little slower with Prince of Peace opening with a long, time-consuming drive for a score to stretch its lead to 60-27. The Trojans fought back with scores coming from Radway, the first on a 38-yard run and the second a 16-yard pass to Francis.
