IRVING — The All Saints Trojans waltzed to a 70-20 win over Irving The Highlands in a TAPPS, Division III, District 2 game on Friday.
All Saints (5-4, 2-2) jumped out a 15-0 first-quarter lead on touchdown runs of 10 yards by Brice Borgeson and 61 yards by John Norton.
The Trojans made it 29-0 midway through the second on two more touchdown runs — a 31-yard carry by Chandler Hammond and a 5-yard run by Norton.
Highlands’ Kit Rong took the ensuing kickoff back 65 yards to make it 29-6, but All Saints came right back and scored on a 15-yard run by Merritte Greene to make it 37-6 at halftime.
The Trojans added two more touchdowns in the third, one on a 17-yard run by Spencer Ball and the other on a 35-yard pass from Norton to Logan Klouda for a 52-6 lead through the third quarter.
Although Highlands (1-8, 0-4) added two touchdowns in the fourth on long runs by Rong, they couldn’t catch up to the Trojans who scored three times on a 2-yard carry by Taylor Ball, a 76-yard run by Jake Rogers and a 40-yard score by Mike Caruso.
