All Saints scored a 3-1 win over Grace Community on Monday in a TAPPS District 2-4A volleyball match at Cougar Gym.
It was a “Pink Out” night to celebrate and remember cancer survivors and victims, Grace coach Robyn Welch said.
All Saints won the match 23-25, 25-17, 28-26, 25-15.
“It was a great night for two crosstown rivals coming together for a purpose of bringing attention to breast cancer,” Welch said. She said the gym was packed and instead of charging admission to the match, people were asked to donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Standouts for the Lady Trojans (15-7, 5-0) were Katrina Kastmo (21 kills, 11 digs, 4 blocks), Maddie Smith (37 assists,15 digs), Kaitlyn Huskey (8 kills, 9 digs), Madeline Wynne (10 kills, 10 digs), Jasmine Owens (17 digs, 6 assists) and Lanna Johnson (7 kills,8 digs).
Standouts for the Lady Cougars (13-12, 2-3) were Emma Yeatts (14 kills, 10 assists), Rilee Miller (10 kills, 13 assists, 6 aces) and Emery Cannon (3 kills).
In JV action, Grace won 13-25, 25-15, 15-12.
All Saints plays host to Dallas Christian at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, while Grace travels to Dallas to meet First Baptist at 6 p.m. Thursday.
