DALLAS — Grace Community clinched a playoff spot on Thursday with a 3-1 win over Waco Reicher in the TAPPS 2-4A volleyball tournament.

The Lady Cougars defeated defending district champs 26-24, 25-21, 13-25, 25-22.

Taylor Kingsley (11 kills), Bethany Kimmey (14 digs) and Rilee Miller (19 assists) paced Grace to the victory.

Elsewhere in TAPPS volleyball, East Texas Christian concluded its regular season in second place in TAPPS 3-2A.

The Lady Panthers fell in their finale 25-19, 25-13, 25-17 to Rockwall Heritage Christian Academy on Thursday. Shannon Stewart led ETCA with 13 kills and five blocks while Shannon Stewart added 13 assists.

ETCA (18-9, 8-2) will host a playoff match Tuesday, though an opponent and time have yet to be determined.
