Mason House belted a home run, while Kade Keener and Zack Walters each had two hits as Rose Capital East scored a 7-5 win over Rose Capital West in the championship of the Junior League District Tournament on Monday at Golden Road Park.

Rose Capital East advances to the sectional tournament beginning July 13 in Brenham.

Landry Mayo and Josh Spitzer had doubles for the East, while Connor Clark added a two-bagger for the West.

Others adding hits for the East were Alec Ramsey, Caleb Wadle, Brant Palmer and Peyton Richardson.

Scoring runs were House (two), Cy Whitaker, Palmer, Spitzer, Fiver Trimble and Richardson.

Contributing RBIs were Caleb Hammonds (two), House, Ramsey, Mayo (two) and Richardson.

Clark, Parker Bates and Tully Greer each had two hits for the West. Others adding hits were Mark Schwartz, Mitchell Nejame and Coleton Oldham.

Collecting RBIs for the West were Schwartz and Mark Russell (two). Scoring runs were Clark (two), Bates (two) and Greer.

Major League

In the Major League championship in Lufkin, Lufkin scored a 9-7 10-inning win over Rose Capital West.

Clayton Courson had a two-run homer for Tyler.
