Martin Guzman, Bishop Gorman — The sophomore returned a fumble 33 yards for a touchdown, finished 6 of 6 on extra points, made a field goal, registered five tackles and kicked three touchbacks as the Crusaders picked up their first TAPPS D-II District 2 win of the year. He also had one catch as a receiver as Gorman beat Carrollton Prince of Peace 45-14.

Daylon Mack, Gladewater — The Bears junior finished with a sack and three tackles for loss on defense and two touchdowns on offense.

Zach Tatman, Grace Community — Tatman ran for 92 yards and returned a fumble 77 yards for a TD in a 49-25 win against Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill.


William Alexander, All Saints — The senior tight end hauled in five catches for 84 yards in the Trojans' 45-27 loss to Garland Christian Academy.

Jake Anderson, Blake Maddox, Bullard Brook Hill — The linemen led a unit that paved the way for 265 yards and five touchdowns.

Andrew Black, Chapel Hill — The senior quarterback completed 17 of 33 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns, plus carried the ball 16 times for 85 yards and another score.

Carlos Bolton, Edgewood — The Bulldogs running back racked up 228 yards on 15 carries (15.2 per carry). He ran for touchdowns of 3, 53, 7 and 38 yards as Edgewood routed Rivercrest 62-6.

Kris Boyd, Gilmer — The senior running back carried the ball 19 times for 180 yards and two TDs as the Buckeyes cruised past Chapel Hill, 56-28.

Ozzie Buckner, Frankston — The Indians quarterback passed for 207 yards and three touchdowns in a 49-7 win against Union Grove.

Matt Brunson, All Saints — The Trojan quarterback scored on three TD runs.

Gee Clark, Palestine — The Wildcats quarterback completed 11 of 18 passes for 242 yards and three touchdowns in a 32-0 win against Pittsburg.

Damontes Dowell, Malakoff — Dowell finished with 129 yards and three TDs in a 54-10 win against Overton.

Connor Hobbs, Bishop Gorman — The junior wide receiver caught eight passes for 151 yards and a touchdown in the big win.

Darrian Lewis, Gilmer — The senior running back finished with 19 carries for 149 yards and four touchdowns in the win against Chapel Hill.

Gabe Lucio, Brook Hill — The Guard running back finished with 12 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown and also caught a touchdown pass.

Luke Lee, All Saints — The sophomore running back rushed for 102 yards on 17 carries and also had a reception for a 45-yard TD.

Hunter McClellan, Nacogdoches — The Dragons quarterback completed 8 of 11 passes for 205 yards and five touchdowns in the first half alone to help set the stage for a 45-14 win against Pine Tree.

Chandler Nutt, Grace Community — Nutt ran for 151yards and two touchdowns and also passed for two scores.

Colby Peek, Quitman — Peek needed just 13 carries to run for 139 yards and two touchdowns as the Bulldogs beat Grand Saline 41-0.

James Reese, Gladewater — The Bears running back ran for 247 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-10 win against Spring Hill.

Jonny Spitzer, Grace Community — Spitzer caught two touchdown passes and ran for 100 yards and another score.

Sheldon Watson, Palestine — The Wildcats receiver caught eight passes for 166 yards and three scores.

Bryce Wilkerson, Robert E. Lee — The Red Raiders receiver caught a career-best nine passes for 129 yards in loss to North Mesquite.


Edward Briggs, Brook Hill — The defensive end contributed five solo tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks.

Griffin Greene, All Saints — The junior strong safety had an interception and six tackles (two solo) against Garland Christian.

Dominic Jasso, Bishop Gorman — The senior linebacker finished with nine tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble.

Tat Johnson, Gilmer — The defensive back finished with six tackles, four pass breakups and one caused fumble.

Noah Kemp, Bishop Gorman — The senior linebacker had 10 tackles and a forced fumble.

John McPhearson, Gilmer — The linebacker had nine tackles, one caused fumble and an interception.

Devonte Milton, Bishop Gorman — The junior defensive back supplied seven tackles and two pass breakups.

Jordan Morales, Bishop Gorman — The sophomore defensive lineman registered 10 tackles and a sack.

Garrett Parish, Gilmer — The defensive tackle registered six tackles and two sacks.

Layton Sisemore, Grace Community — The Cougar had three tackles and came up with a clutch interception in the end zone.

Justin Stephenson, Edgewood — The Bulldog returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown.

Christian Watkins, Bishop Gorman — The junior defensive back finished with six tackles and two interceptions.

Andrew Werner, All Saints — The freshman free safety had two interceptions for the Trojans.

Zac Wilson, Brook Hill — The linebacker finished with nine solo tackles for the Guard.
