KILGORE - Isaiah Davis rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns, and Gladewater piled up 328 yards on the ground Friday in a 35-7 win over the Tatum Eagles in a Class 4A Division II bi-district battle at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium.
The Bears (8-2) finished with 404 total yards, getting a touchdown pass from Darnell McKnight. McKnight rushed for 25 yards, and threw a 37-yard touchdown pass. Cameron Callaway added 47 rushing yards and one TD to go along with 39 passing yards.
Gladewater advances to meet Celina, a 62-21 winner over Emory Rains.
Cedric White carried 13 times for 121 yards in the loss for Tatum, which ends the year 7-4 - just one season removed from an 0-10 campaign.
The Bears scored the first 25 points of the contest to take control.
Davis got things started with a 1-yard touchdown run, and Callaway tacked on the tw0-pointer as an eight-play, 71-yard scoring drive gave the Bears an 8-0 lead.
Davis later capped a 6-play, 60-yard drive with a 15-yard TD run, and Fernando Serrano booted the PAT for a 15-0 cushion.
Callaway's 10-yard TD run and Serrano's PAT came after a 7-play, 90-yard drive - making it 22-0 - and the Bears pushed the lead to 25-0 on a 31-yard field goal by Serrano in the fourth quarter.
Tatum got on the board when White bolted 80 yards for a touchdown in the third, but Serrano added a 21-yard field goal and Clint Starling got into the scoring act for the Bears with a 15-yard TD run to end the scoring.
