RICHARDSON — The No. 4 seed UT Tyler women’s soccer team needed double-overtime to knock off No. 5 seed East Texas Baptist, 2-1, in the first round of the American Southwest Conference opening round. Chestley Strother ended the game with a breakaway goal in the 103rd minute.

UT Tyler (12-5) got the scoring started early in the match, when Jordan Johnson took a Chana Forstall pass and put it past the Tigers’ goalkeeper in the eighth minute.
