The Robert E. Lee soccer teams met to celebrate a successful year last week. The Red Raiders tied for their best-finish in a decade while the Lady Raiders finished just shy of winning district.

Earning team MVP honors for the boys were seniors Reed Pool and Alexis Chavez with senior Abby Jameson chosen MVP for the girls team.

The Offensive MVP and Golden Boot winner as the Red Raiders leading scorer was senior Tanner Tebbetts (14 goals, eight assists). Leading the way for the Lady Raiders as Offensive MVP was senior Taylor Tillson.

The Defensive MVP for the Red Raiders was senior George Martinez with junior Julia Harrison chosen Lady Raiders Defensive MVP.

The Lee boys Coaches Award was given to senior Jorge Arellano and junior Michael Wilkins. REL’s Most Improved Player was goalkeeper Austin Martel.

Honored as Academic All-State for the boys team were: Pool, Eddie Esparza, Arellano, Robert Hawk and Martel.

The graduating seniors honored for the Lee boys were: Arellano, Chavez, Danny Echeverria, Esparza, Hawk, Martel, Pool, Tebbetts. The Lee girls soccer graduates are: Jameson, Tillson, Allie Telscher, Kristin Williams, Katie Horn, Lindsey Roberts and Brooke Green.
