BELTON — For the fourth time in five years, the UT Tyler volleyball squad will play in the American Southwest Conference postseason, finishing the regular season with a 10-8 league mark. The Patriots ended with a split of matches on Saturday.

In the Saturday opener, UT Tyler (21-10, 10-8) started off on the wrong foot, falling 25-13 to Sul Ross State, before rebounding to win 25-19, 25-13, 25-22 to capture the match.

Against the Lobos, Breanna Brummett once again led the way in kills, finishing with a team-high 15 while Maci Lott and Rachael Harvey each added nine.

Rebecca Floyd finished with a game-high 42 assists, while Harvey totaled 12 digs.

The Patriots ended the day with a 3-1 loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor, falling 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23.

UT Tyler will have three non-conference matches to end the season before heading to the ASC postseason scheduled for the No. 1 seed home court from Nov. 7-9.

The Patriots play Nov. 1 against Rust at 5 p.m. at LeTourneau University in Longview. On Nov. 2, UT Tyler plays the University of Dallas at 10 a.m. and Centenary at 4 p.m. at LeTourneau.
