Freshman Chana Forstall scored two goals to lead the Patriots to a 5-0 win over East Texas Baptist in the American Southwest Conference opener on Thursday.
The Patriots (4-1, 1-0) got the offense going early, scoring in the seventh-minute off a shot by freshman Chestley Strother, her third of the season.
Freshman Kayla Akin doubled the lead to 2-0 by beating Tigers’ goalie Tamara Carlisle just before the end of the first half for her third goal of the season.
Forstall added her first goal of the night in the 68th-minute, making the score 3-0, and then added her second goal of the night just 10 minutes later.
