ROCKWALL — Robert E. Lee stranded base runners in scoring position as REL could not break through against Rockwall's Chris Glover, who pitched a complete-game shutout in a 4-0 victory Friday.

The Red Raiders had four hits, loaded the bases in the first inning and had runners at second and third in the sixth.

In both instances, Glover got out of it with one of his 12 strikeouts.

"We played well enough to win for stretches, but consistency came back to bite us again," REL coach David Howard said. "Their kid did a good job of getting strikeouts when he had to."

Lee junior Daniel Bogue took the loss, allowing two earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts.

The Red Raiders (7-8, 1-2 in District 12-5A) will next be in action Saturday against Dallas Bryan Adams. First pitch is 1 p.m. at Mike Carter Field.
