BULLARD — Tyler Junior College, led by four players in the top 10, took home the championship of the Tyler Junior College Spring Golf Invitational on Tuesday at Oak Hurst Golf Course.

TJC combined for a 596 to win by 25 strokes over runner-up Ranger College (621). The TJC second team was third at 624.

In the women’s tournament, Western Texas was first at 647, followed by Mary Hardin-Baylor (675) and the Apache Ladies (696).

In the men’s tournament, Stephen F. Austin’s Bradley Phelps won medalist honors with a 143 (69-74). TJC’s Charlie Cameron, a sophomore from Canberra, Australia, was runner-up with a 146 (77-69). Taking third was Ranger’s Nick Ratliff (72-75).

Rounding out the top five were TJC’s Brandon Rougeau (75-73—148) and Wilfredo Sanchez (76-73—149).

The remainder of the top 10 was: 6, Jacksonville College’s Lukas Lampe (78-72—150); 6, TJC’s Blake Stasiunas (77-73—150); 8, Ranger’s Daniel Nielsen (76-76—152); 9, SFA’s Wade Davis (74-79—153); and 10, TJC’s Tripp Hobson (82-72-154).

Members of the first place TJC team were Cameron, Rougeau, Sanchez, Hobson and Clayton Keck (T11, 83-72—155).

On TJC’s third-place team are Stasiunas, Calvin Lackey (15, 80-77—157), Jared Steeter (16, 78-80—158) and Ben Page (T17, 78-81—159).

Members of the fourth place Jacksonville squad are Lampe, Garrett Worley (T11, 74-81—155), Julian Kude (T17, 83-76—159), Chase Reid (T21, 86-79—165), Wes O’Banion (25, 83-87—170), Shane Thackerson (T21, 85-80—165) and Gideon Lytle (24, 83-84—167).

Iben Hvass led Western Texas as runner-up medalist (83-75—158). McKenzie Ralston of Mary Hardin-Baylor won medalist honors with a 157 (80-77).

Members of the Apache Ladies are Holly Standing (5, 80-82—162), Sara Ruiz (10, 87-87—174), Kelly Allen (12, 91-87—178), Bailey McCawley (13, 92-91—183), Emily Hoffman (14, 92-93—185), Arae Bass (91-96—187) and Shelby Frauenberger (20, 106-95—201).
