PLANO — Brittny Norris and Caitlyn Ramirez combined for 42 points as the Tyler Junior College Apache Ladies scored an 89-70 victory over South Plains on Friday in the Collin Basketball Classic.

Norris led with 22 points, followed by Ramirez with 20. TJC connected on 30 of 35 free throw attempts.

The Apache Ladies (6-1) meet Seminole State (Okla.) at noon today in the second day of the Classic.

Victoria Kemokai (18 points) and Bria Emanuel (10 points) were each in double figures for Tyler. Other scorers for the Apache Ladies were Malena Washington (9), Amber Driver (4), Shernise Robertson (3) and Katelynn Johnson (3).

TaSheena Moore led the Lady Texans (3-4) with 22 points, while Alexius Dawn added 19.

The Lady Texans play Collin County at 2 p.m. Saturday.
