CASPER, Wyo. - The Tyler Junior College Apache Ladies captured two matches on Friday in the NJCAA Division I Volleyball National Tournament.

TJC (20-15) defeated New Mexico Military 3-1 (25-15, 25-16, 21-15, 28-26) and Seward County (Kansas) 3-2 (25-20, 25-19, 14-25, 18-25, 15-12).

The Apache Ladies will face Mineral Area (Missouri) (27-15) at 11 a.m. Saturday in the ninth-place match.

In the win over NMMI, the Apache Ladies were led by Lisa Casmine (14 kills), Paula Carvalho (12 kills), Halee Brewer (12 kills), Bruna Paixo (11 kills), Rachel Reeve (52 assists), Allie Kemp (20 digs) and Selby Spradley (10 digs).

Against Seward County, the TJC leaders were Paixo (19 kills), Brewer (15 kills), Casime (13 kills), Reeve (51 assists), Kemp (16 digs) and Gysell Zayas (9 digs).
