PLANO — Brittny Norris had a game-high 17 points and the No. 3 Tyler Junior College Apache Ladies jetted to an 85-60 win over South Plains College on Friday in the Collin College Thanksgiving Classic.

TJC (8-0) had three other players in double-digit scoring — Victoria Kemokai (14), Jasmine Prophet (12) and Chelsi Watson (10).

“We had a much better showing than the Paris game defensively,” TJC coach Trenia Tillis-Jones said of the team’s 67-66 win over Paris on Tuesday. “In spite of serious foul trouble we withstood the South Plains pressure defense in the second half.”

The Apache Ladies meet Seminole State-Oklahoma at noon today.
