Bullard 12U All-Stars

LONGVIEW — Jachin Salas delivered a two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Bullard 12U All-Stars a 4-2 win over Spring Hill in the Dixie Youth Baseball state championship game Saturday at Lear Park.

Spring Hill led 1-0 in the bottom of the sixth inning. Salas had a one-out single and scored on a hit by Lex Rich to force extra innings.

Each team scored in the seventh inning, and neither team crossed the plate in the eighth or ninth innings.

Bullard had 11 hits in the contest. Salas, Traeson Wynne and Layne Alexander each had two hits.

Noach Lock, Wynne, Trey Martin and Alexander combined to strike out 13 batters and allow just four hits on the mound in 10 innings. Dylan Fowler caught the entire game.

Bullard is 21-0 and has a team batting average of .396. The team has outscored its opponents 202-23. The pitching staff has an ERA of 0.757 with 150 strikeouts and 51 walks.

Bullard will compete in the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series Aug. 3 through 8 in Ruston, Louisiana. Bullard will take on the Arkansas representative at 5:45 p.m. on Aug. 3.
