NEW CHAPEL HILL -- Tatum Eagles needed just two big plays but added a third small one in a 20-7 win over Chapel Hill on homecoming for the Bulldogs on Friday at Bulldog Stadium.
After a scoreless first, Tatum (2-1) took a 7-0 lead with 9:27 remaining in the second on a 45-yard punt return by Keyshoyn Alexander and point-after by Ismael Vasquez.
The Eagles made it 13-0 when Lamarcus Harmon scored on a 2-yard run with just over two minutes before halftime.
Chapel Hill (1-2) got back into the game in the third scoring its only touchdown on a 3-yard run by Adrian Minor and point-after by Huber Hernandez.
Tatum put the game away for good with 3:20 remaining in the fourth on a 66-yard TD run by Cedric White and Vasquez PAT.
