WINONA - Winona outscored Bishop Gorman 27-9 in the fourth quarter for a 71-68 boys basketball win over the Crusaders on Tuesday.
Gorman coach Spencer Denmon said his team was forced to play with four players at the end of the game due to foul trouble.
“Proud of the way our guys fought to the end,” Denmon said.
Judah Bell led the Crusaders with 27 points, nine rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes of play.
Nic Vandiver added 23 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Crusaders. Jake Smith had 12 points, three rebounds and five assists. Also, Tyler Hobbs had six points and five rebounds.
Vandiver had five 3-pointers and Smith had two.
TKG (0-1) plays in the Woodmen Life TABO Classic on Friday at Wildcat Arena in Whitehouse. The Crusaders meet Edgewood at 1:30 p.m.
Winona plays host to Brownsboro on Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.
