PLANO - The Apache Ladies completed a sweep of Thanksgiving weekend opponents as Tyler Junior College scored an 80-70 win over Seminole State (Oklahoma) on Saturday in the Collin Women’s Basketball Classic.

On Friday, TJC (8-0) defeated host Collin County 76-69.

The Apache Ladies are off on Sunday, but the Apaches are in action as they play host to Northwestern State JV. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at Wagstaff Gymnasium.

On Saturday, Nautica Grant led three Apache Ladies in double figures scoring with 17 points. Antonette Shrepee and Ann Swosah had 12 points apiece.

Qua’charmany Tarkington led the Belles (6-5) with 21 points.

On Friday, the Belles defeated Kilgore 64-53.

The Apache Ladies’ next game is on Wednesday when they host Coastal Bend in a Region XIV contest. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. The men’s game will follow at 7:30 p.m.
