HOUSTON - No. 23 San Jacinto used a third-quarter outburst en route to an 88-63 victory over No. 17 Tyler Junior College on Saturday in a Region XIV women’s basketball game.

The Lady Gators outscored the Apache Ladies 29-12 in the third period. San Jac turned a 35-33 halftime lead into a 64-45 advantage heading in the fourth quarter.

Nautica Grant led the Apache Ladies (22-6, 13-5) with 15 points. Five Lady Gators (21-7, 13-5) were in double figures.

In other women’s scores: Panola 87, Kilgore 68; Blinn 57, Angelina 55; Paris 86, Bossier Parish 61; and Trinity Valley 87, Coastal Bend 60.
