HENDERSON — Henderson’s Caleb Medford, who missed the Palestine contest a week ago with an injury, came on to make a difference against the Kilgore Bulldogs on Friday night.

NEW LONDON — Landon McKinney ran for 159 yards and four touchdowns, and Sabine beat West Rusk 50-29 Friday in a District 8-3A Division I football game at Bruce Bradshaw Stadium.

JACKSONVILLE — Marshall added to its win streak and to Jacksonville’s losing streak when the Mavericks defeated the Indians 45-13 on Friday at the historic Tomato Bowl.

BETTIE — Brantley Murray rushed for three touchdowns and tossed three TD passes, leading the Union Hill Bulldogs to a 58-12 win over Leverett's Chapel on Friday in a District 12-1A Division I football game.

GARRISON — Sabastion Porter rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns, and Jakadric Watts returned a kickoff for a score to spark Garrison to a 26-7 win over Beckville on Friday in a District 11-2A Division I football game.

HARLETON — Hunter Wallace turned in another huge rushing night for Harleton, scoring four times for the Wildcats and leading his team to a 28-13 District 11-2A Division I win over the Tenaha Tigers on Friday.

TEXARKANA — A four-point game turned into a 13-pointer at the end, and the Texarkana Pleasant Grove Hawks moved to 2-0 in District 6-4A Division II play (7-1 overall) with a 37-24 win over the Gilmer Buckeyes on Friday night.

QUITMAN — Gage Goddard tossed three touchdown passes and Michael Everett, Isaac Edwards and Luis Lozano all scored rushing touchdowns for the Eagles as surging Harmony rolled to a 49-21 win over Quitman in a District 10-3A Division II football game on Friday at Bud Moody Stadium.

WHITEHOUSE — In a battle of Smith County rivals, the Whitehouse Wildcats used a 20-point scoring outburst at the end of the first half, and then held on for dear life to take a 43-36 victory over the Lindale Eagles in a District 9-5A Division II matchup Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.

VAN — Vandals quarterback Jayton Moffatt made his anticipated first start back after enduring a collarbone injury and his defense ensured the night ended on a high note by standing tall on Palestine’s last-ditch prayer in Van's 21-14 District 10-4A Division I win Friday at Van Memorial Stadium.
