Third person arrested in 2014 shooting death of Blinn College student

BRENHAM, Texas (AP) - Police say a third person has been arrested in the 2014 fatal shooting of a Blinn College freshman whose body was found on a Brenham street.

Brenham police on Friday announced the arrest of a second juvenile on a capital murder charge.

Police say the latest suspect was 16 years old at the time of the October 2014 slaying of Trey Alan Kurtz of Houston.

Investigators earlier this month arrested another juvenile, also age 16 at the time of the killing, on a capital murder count. Police in October charged an 18-year-old man with capital murder.

Authorities have not released a possible motive for the attack in Brenham, 70 miles northwest of Houston.

Police didn't immediately return a message Saturday to provide additional details on the arrests.
