BAYTOWN, Texas (AP) — Three people have been arrested in the abduction and slaying of two Houston-area high school students whose bodies were found in a bayou.

Baytown police say three male suspects were being held Wednesday on capital murder charges. Investigators say a fourth suspect, a 20-year-old man, remains a fugitive on a capital murder warrant.

Authorities say the victims, 17-year-old Jarvis Morgan Jr. and 18-year-old Alejandro Chavez, were last seen alive Feb. 18. Their bodies were discovered March 5 in a bayou near Anahuac (AN'-uh-wak).

Baytown police have not released a possible motive in what investigators call the kidnapping of the teens. Both attended Robert E. Lee High School.
