FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Two people were killed after the SUV they were in went off a Fort Worth bridge and plunged into a creek.

The Fort Worth Fire Department says one victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday evening. The second victim, an adult female, died later at a hospital.

A third person in the vehicle was able to get out and is in good condition at a local hospital.

The names of all three individuals were not immediately released by authorities.

A cause of the accident remains under investigation but authorities suspect the recent wintry weather that hit the area might have been a factor.
