Liberty Hall is participating in Visit Tyler’s event, Hit the Bricks on April 8 at 7 p.m. by showing the 1959 classic, “Some Like it Hot.”
Directed by Billy Wilder, the film follows musicians, Joe (Tony Curtis) and Jerry (Jack Lemmon), who witness a mob hit and are forced to go on the run. They end up posing as Josephine and Daphne in an all-female band. Things get even more complicated as they befriend the band’s singer, Sugar Kane (Marilyn Monroe). Joe falls for Sugar, but must woo her while posing as rich and dapper Shell Oil Jr., while Jerry as Daphne catches the eye of an older gentleman who does not like to take “no” for an answer.
Tickets to see “Some Like It Hot” are on sale at www.LibertyTyler.com for $5 and will be for sale at the door for $7. For more information about upcoming events, sponsoring an event or renting Liberty Hall, go to www.LibertyTyler.com or call Manager John Baggett at 903-595-7274.
