The city of Tyler will be working on a portion of Broadway Avenue for about two weeks, and drivers are asked to look for alternative routes.

The existing surface will be removed and replaced with new asphalt from Erwin Street to Fourth Street, according to a news release.

The work is set to begin Sunday and be completed before Aug. 5, weather permitting. All work will be done at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. The road will periodically be closed to through traffic.
