The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department will open Woldert Park Pool, 701 W. 32nd St., from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

There is no admission charge. Woldert Park Pool is a small pocket park pool that can hold up to 75 people at a time, according to a news release. There is also a sprayground attached to the pool area.

"The city has been diligently recruiting lifeguards to work this summer and will now be able to open Woldert Park Pool," Debbie Isham, special events/recreation manager, said in the release.

The city requires patrons who plan to swim wear an actual swimming suit. No cotton clothing or basketball shorts are allowed in the pool.

All children under the age of 18 must be registered by their parent or legal guardian with the pool manager before entrance into the city pool if attending without an adult. Children under the age of 13 must have an adult present with them at all times.
