Whitehouse ISD said a threatening note found at its sixth grade campus was not a credible threat.
The district said students found an anonymous note on the hallway floor on Thursday and turned it in to the campus principal, according to a news release from the district.
The district said the threat was “barely legible and not deemed credible” after an investigation by school officials and law enforcement. The district did increase security and administrative presence, though.
Superintendent Chris Moran acknowledged in the news release that parents were concerned about rumors of a threat, and assured them they would immediately be notified if a credible threat was found.
All Whitehouse ISD campuses were on a regular schedule on Friday.
