After a thorough investigation conducted by officers from University of Texas at Tyler Police Department and investigators from UT System Police, it has been determined that threats made to campus security during the past few days are not credible, a university release stated on Saturday.

They appear to have stemmed from a domestic dispute unrelated to the university, the news release said.

Out of an abundance of caution, the release stated, enhanced security measures remained in place throughout Saturday's activities.

"Although we've determined the threats made to campus are not credible and appear to stem from a domestic dispute unrelated to the university, the investigation is still ongoing and active," the release stated.

Information from the university stated that the University gratefully acknowledges the work of the UT Tyler Police and UT System Police, as well as officers from Tyler Police Department, UT Health Northeast Police Department, UT Austin Police Department, UT Arlington Police Department, UT Dallas Police Department, UT Houston Police Department and other law enforcement agencies who quickly responded to ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff.
