Tyler RC Complex to hold fundraiser that will benefit family of Dustin Beck

 

A fundraising benefit for the family of Dustin Beck, wo recently died after battling cerebral palsy, is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Tyler RC Complex, 13652 W Highway 31.

Beck was the son of a Tyler RC Complex family. 

The day will feature RC racing, a performance by illusionist Johnny Magic, food served up by Red Dog’s BBQ of Dallas, a silent auction and other opportunities to donate. Poceeds will be used to help defray the cost of Beck's medical bills.

The tentative schedule includes:

• 10 a.m.: Track opens

• 11 a.m.: Lunch and silent auction begin

• Noon: On-road classes start

• 1 p.m.: Johnny Magic will perform

• 2 p.m.: Rent-a-race begins

• 3 p.m.: Off-road classes begin

• 4 p.m.: Silent auction ends

The cost to take one class will be $20, taking a second class will cost $15, a third class will cost $10 and all additional classes will cost $5 each. The price of a brisket plate will be $10. A loaded potato will cost $8.
