The Tyler Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured on Tuesday. 

Officers responded at about 12:45 a.m. to a call about a shooting in the 2500 block of W. Erwin Street, according to a news release from the department. 

The department said officers found a 24-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg in the parking lot. 

Officers searched the area but were unable to find the suspect who was seen fleeing the scene on foot, according to the department. 

The victim was taken to UT Health - Tyler where he was treated and released, according to the department.
