The Tyler Police Department is seeking the public's help locating a suspect wanted in connection with recent church burglaries in the area.
Police said Friday they have identified Kinon Carrelle Peacock, 36, of Tyler as a suspect in the case. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of burglary of a building, a state jail felony.
According to a press release from police, investigators have obtained evidence linking Peacock to several church burglaries in the Tyler area. The release indicated investigators expect to pursue additional warrants for Peacock's arrest.
On Thursday, investigators spotted the suspect in his vehicle and attempted to take him into custody, but Peacock ran from his vehicle, evading arrest.
Anyone with information about Peacock's location, or who has any additional information related to these church burglaries, is asked to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crime stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
