Children can learn about the science behind some of their favorite heroes and villains during Superhero Science Day on Saturday at the Center for Earth & Space Science Education at Tyler Junior College.

The Dallas-based Perot Museum of Nature and Science will present 1 and 3 p.m. showings of "Super Science," which explores how matter and energy, magnetism and electricity, and properties of light have influenced fictional superpowers seen in comics and movies.

The event is included with paid admission to TJC’s "Sportsology" exhibit, which is $3 for all ages.
