City of Tyler and Smith County offices will be closed two days this week in observance of Thanksgiving.

Residents will not be able to conduct business with the government on Thursday or Friday.

Smith County non-emergency offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, but will re-open on Monday with regularly scheduled business hours.

No new jury panels will be called this week.

City Hall offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Tyler Solid Wasteoffice and the Tyler Recycle Center will be closed on Thursday. The recycling center will re-open on Friday with normal business hours.

Garbage collection
schedule will be normal on Tuesday. Routes normally collected on Thursday will be picked up on Wednesday, and there is no collection on Thursday. The collection schedule will get back to normal on Friday.

Curbside Recycle collection
schedule will be normal on Tuesday, with no collection on Wednesday or Thursday. Recycling normally collected on Thursday will be picked up on Friday.

Tyler Pounds Regional Airport
terminal will open at 4 a.m. and close early at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Airlines will resume normal operations on Friday. Airport administrative offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

Tyler Public Library
will be closed Thursday and Friday.

TylerTransit and Paratransit will not run Thursday. Services will resume from from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The Cotton Belt Train Museum will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Tyler Municipal Court will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Gallery Main Street
will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Glass Recreation Center will be closed all week for an annual cleaning. All classes and programming will be cancelled for the week, including the after school program. The facility will re-open Monday at 7 a.m.

Tyler Parks and Recreation administrative offices and the Senior Center will be closed Thursday and Friday. There will be no Friday Night Dance at the Senior Center Friday.

The Goodman-LeGrand Museum will be closed Thursday, and will re-open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Rose Garden Center will be closed on Thursday and Friday, but the gardens are open from dawn to dusk seven days a week. They will remain open throughout the holiday.

Tyler Water Utilities
Business Office will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Water Business Office drive through will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Anyone wishing to make a payment can place it in one of the two available drop boxes. One is located in front of the office, 511 Locust St, and a second drive-up box is in the Brookshire's parking lot on the corner of South Broadway Avenue and Rice Road. Payments will be credited on the next business day. Please do not drop cash into these boxes.
