TxDOT roadwork begins this week


TxDOT will be performing new roadwork in the following East Texas counties, beginning this week:


Anderson County

Crews in Palestine will be working on U.S. 175 in Frankston between Murchison and north Garrison streets. The work is expected to take two days to complete and then move to SH 19N between the U.S. 287/SH 19 to Montalba. 

CR 453 is closed at Beaver Creek.


Cherokee County

Crews will be working on U.S. 79 between Jacksonville and New Summerfield, on SH 294 from Alto to the Neches River, and on FM 851 from U.S. 69 in Alto to FM 343 at Atoy.


Gregg County

Crews will be working on Loop 281 from U.S. 259 to the Harrison County line. Crews will also be working on FM 3053 at County Road 3772/Carrie Road just south of Liberty City. 


Henderson County

Crews in Athens will be working on potholes and on the FM 317 widening project from FM 314 to FM 607.


Rusk County

Crews will be working on FM 839 from U.S. 79 to FM 1798

Work on the SH 64 construction project continues in Rusk County:


Smith County

Crews will be working on SH 135 between Troup and on FM 2015 from FM 16 to FM 14.


 Van Zandt County

Crews in Canton will be working on FM 16 and FM 2475.


Wood County

Crews will be working SH 11 from Winnsboro east toward the Camp County line.
