A Troup woman who pleaded guilty to a first-degree felony drug manufacturing and distribution charge was sentenced on Friday to 50 years in prison.

Smith County judicial records show Stephanie Nicole Austin, 33, pleaded guilty to manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 weighing at least 4 grams but less than 200 grams on April 22 in the 7th District Court.

Austin waived her rights to a jury trial and elected to have Judge Kerry Russell impose her sentence, according to judicial records.

Austin has several prior arrests and convictions in Smith County dating back to 2009.
