Performances take place in Van Cliburn Auditorium located inside Kilgore College's Anne Dean Turk Fine Arts Center, 1100 Broadway Blvd., Kilgore. The "Belle of Amherst" will be staged at the Festival Center, 815 Houston St., Kilgore.

The shows are staged by professional and college actors, directors and technicians. .

Performances take place at 7:30 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinees on some days.

Tickets can be ordered online at texasshakespeare.com or by calling the box office 903-983-8601.

The festival also offers patrons chances to see work that typically goes on behind the scenes and to speak to those who are bringing the stories to the stage.

Panel discussions are held at 11 a.m. Saturdays from July 9 to 30 in the Technical Vocation Center behind the theater.

Those who attend a matinee are encouraged to remain in their seats after the show to watch the technical crew change the set for a different play being presented that evening. A company member explains what is involved in changing the sets.

Following each opening night performance, the audience is encouraged to remain in the theater and join in on an informal discussion with the directors, designers and cast members. Questions and comments are encouraged.

Pre-show introductions are held at 6:30 p.m. each Thursday and Friday in the lobby. Patrons learn more at the play about to be presented and the artists on stage.

Patrons can tour the backstage area, dressing rooms, and scene shop at the theater.  Tours cost $5 and last about 45 minutes. Reservations are made through the festival's box office.
