More than 200 East Texans turned out Thursday to see the newly renovated home of T.B. Butler Publishing in downtown Tyler.

Visitors, which included readers, civic leaders and employees' family and friends, toured the building at 410 W. Erwin St., where the company has been located since 1950.

The renovation by Fitzpatrick Architects included preserving historic aspects of the former space, such as interior brick, while upgrading the space into a modern design that features open concept workspaces, exposed ductwork, collaborative spaces, a coffee bar and a two-floor original mural painted by local artist and former Tyler Morning Telegraph reporter Lindsay Boone.

The renovated space also includes a first-floor gym that, in addition to expanding the company's wellness program, is open to the public.

Those who attended the open house met with staff from the Tyler Morning Telegraph's advertising, editorial, circulation and production teams as well as leaders of the company's new digital marketing team, Butler Creative Group.

"We are delighted to share our new space with the community and introduce them to many new services we offer, including membership in our gym and video production and marketing services," said Tyler Morning Telegraph Publisher Nelson Clyde.
