Smith County Grand Jury indictments for June 15 include multiple charges of sexual assault against children

 

A 23-year-old Tyler man accused of sexual assault of a child has been indicted by a Smith County grand jury.

Kendre Samond Tennyson faces a second-degree felony for the alleged sexual assault of a relative. He was arrested May 10 by the Tyler Police Department, according to judicial records.

Tennyson is one of 21 people indicted on 24 felony charges, nine state jail felonies, seven third-degree felonies, seven second-degree felonies and one first-degree felony the week of June 15. 

The list also includes an indictment for Matthew R. Dutton, 35, of Flint, who was arrested by Smith County deputies May 1, for allegedly assaulting a woman with a knife and setting a singlewide mobile home on fire in Flint. 

The grand jury indicted Dutton for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony and arson intended to damage a habitat, a first-degree felony.  

Dutton was held in the Smith County Jail on $125,000 bonds, according to Smith County judicial records.

• Jonathan Luke Adair, 27, of Flint, possession of child pornography

• Sandra Lynn Baldwin, 49, of Tyler, possession of 1 gram or less of a controlled substance in penalty group 1  

• Darrion Julian Barnes, 33, of Tyler, forgery

• Demonciaire Lakeith Champion, 23, of Lindale, possession of 1 gram or less of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 and prohibited substance in a correctional facility 

• Stephanie Michelle Clayton, 45, of Tyler, theft of property with a value of more than $2,500 but less than $30,000 

• Karla Diane Cox, 23, of Tyler, theft of property with a value of less than $2,500 with two previous convictions 

• Jeanmal Ronald Desrivieres, 25, of Tyler, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon

• Deril Wayne Elder Jr., 18, of Tyler, theft of a firearm 

• Karley Corene Finninger, 22, of Tyler, possession of at least 1 gram but no more than 4 grams of a controlled substance in penalty group 1 

• John Cardwell Garrett, 29, of Tyler, evading or detention with a vehicle arrest   

• Hazen Nicole Hisaw, 29, of Tyler, possession of 1 gram or less of a controlled substance in penalty group 1  

• Johnnie Arthur King, of Brownsboro, possession of at least 1 gram but no more than 4 grams of a controlled substance in penalty group 1  

• Joel Wilburn Laws III, 34, of Winona, criminal mischief resulting in damages greater than $2,500 but less than $30,000.    

• Richard Charles Mervin, 34, of Tyler, prohibited weapon     

• Kayley Denise Molina, 23, of Lindale, possession of at least 1 gram but no more than 4 grams of a controlled substance in penalty group 1

• Jonathon Gregory Montelongo, 30, of Tyler, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon   

• Rufino Romero, 17, of Tyler, burglary of a habitation 

• Steven Jermelle Walsh, 24, of Tyler, evading arrest or detention with a vehicle
