2016 Shrine BullFest set for October in Lindale


A full day of activities is scheduled for the 2016 Shrine BullFest, set for Oct. 8 in downtown Lindale.

The event is a fundraiser for the Sharon Shrine Center in Tyler.

Activities begin with a pancake breakfast and a Harvest Hustle. The Hustle’s 1K and 5K run, sponsored by Lone Star Dodge & Long Horn Ford of Mineola, begin at 8:30 a.m. The Lindale Chamber of Commerce will host its annual CountryFest celebration at Blackberry Square.

After CountryFest, the 18th annual Shrine BullFest will kick off at 6 p.m. at Lindale Rodeo Arena with music from Todd Freeman & Bullet Proof. The bull riding begins at 7 p.m., with an arena parade of vehicles from Lone Star Dodge & Long Horn Ford of Mineola.

Advance tickets may be purchased at: Cavender's Boot City in Tyler, and Brookshire's, Kidd-Jones and Fleming Farm & Ranch Supply in Lindale. Tickets will also be sold at the gate. Free tickets can be obtained from Lone Star Dodge & Long Horn Ford in Mineola by test driving any new or used vehicle. Adult tickets are eligible for a $100 gas drawing from Kidd Jones and each child's ticket has a free coupon to Whataburger.
