On Monday, Tyler foodies and restaurant-goers will have another option for sushi and Asian fusion cuisine.

Sake Sushi, a Louisiana-based restaurant with locations in Alexandria and Shreveport, expanded to Tyler this summer.

"I'm excited to be expanding to Tyler," Irene Liang, Sake Sushi owner said. "We're a little different than most Japanese restaurants in Tyler."

Sake Sushi features Japanese cuisine, a sushi bar and Asian fusion dishes. The sushi menu includes a crawfish-parmesan roll and Louisiana roll, which add a Cajun touch to the traditional Japanese flavors.

"I am inspired by New Orleans flavors," Ms. Liang said. "I love the challenge of incorporating different flavors into traditional teriyaki dishes and sushi menus."

Sake Sushi is at 5875 Old Bullard Road, in the site formerly occupied by Sonoma Grill, in The Shops at Old Bullard. The hours of operation are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
