A resident who called the Henderson County Sheriff's Office to report seeing a stolen ATV on a social media post helped the sheriff's office make an arrest in a Cherokee County theft case.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office got a call at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday from a resident who said they recognized what they believed was a stolen ATV being pulled by a truck on Farm-to-Market Road 315.

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle towing the ATV at FM 315 and County Road 4336, and identified the driver as John Salazar.

Salazar was taken to the Henderson County Jail, where he was awaiting arraignment.
