The East Texas Food Bank and Main Event Pro Wrestling presented “Brawl At The Brewery,” a family-friendly pro wrestling event on Saturday at True Vine Brewing Company, 2453 Earl Campbell Parkway in Tyler.

This “fight to end hunger” showcased pro wrestling performers, a light show and drama-filled situations that played out in front of a live audience, according to a news release about it.

Pro wrestling’s biggest superstars were on hand in six matches to raise awareness about hunger in East Texas.

“We are excited about this unique opportunity to showcase hunger awareness in a fun, family-friendly night of pro wrestling,” said Dennis Cullinane, CEO of the East Texas Food Bank. “We are so grateful for our partnership with our friends at True Vine Brewing Company with our shared values of Integrity, Community and Love.”

Traci Dixon, founder and owner of True Vine Brewing Company, said she was thrilled to host the event with the food bank.

“The goal of True Vine is to always have our brewery be a place where the community of East Texas can come together for fun and unique events,” she said. “The fact that we can help raise awareness through this event for the incredible work of the ETFB just makes it that much better.”

The event was free with a nonperishable food donation at the gate. Sponsors included TAABS Marketing Solutions, Steamatic of East Texas, True Vine Brewing Company, 20East Agency, Alpha Media and Ridiculously Good Brands and Threads.

The East Texas Food Bank provides almost 21 million meals each year to over 200 partner agencies and feeding programs in 26 East Texas counties.
