The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the person killed in a head-on collision Wednesday night near Troup.

DPS received a call from Troup PD of a head-on crash around 6 p.m. The accident occurred on Highway 110 near County Road 2186 in Smith County.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene.

The driver of a 1993 Chevy Lumina, 48-year-old Terry Clifford Ivy of Jacksonville, was airlifted to ETMC where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The other vehicle was a silver Toyota 4Runner, driven by 46-year-old Florentina Jaimes of Troup. She was treated and released at a local hospital.

DPS reports the vehicle driven by Ivy was traveling south in the northbound lane of Highway 110 when he collided  head-on with Jaimes’ vehicle, which was traveling in the northbound lane.
