U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, called the Barack Obama White House the "most lawless administration in the history of the country" during a meeting with Tyler realtors Wednesday at the Greater Tyler Area Realtor's One REALTOR Center.

Cruz said the greatest national divide lies between entrenched politicians in Washington D.C. and the American people. He said there should be urgency to change the nation's course but that he is "profoundly optimistic" because everyday Americans are becoming fed up and seeking a new direction.

"Across the country people are waking up," he said. "They're calling for restoration of the fundamental liberty that made this nation great."
