New provider welcomed at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic

Athens welcomed new provider Edward W. Johnson, III, M.D.

TYLER, TX – CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic - Athens welcomed new provider Edward W. Johnson, III, M.D., Primary Care, to serve the patients of their growing community practice on Oct. 10

“We are excited to add Dr. Johnson to our already outstanding team at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic - Athens,” said Rick Smith, Clinic Manager at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic - Athens. “He brings a wealth of expertise and enthusiasm to the clinic. He will be an invaluable asset to CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System and an important resource in offering the highest levels of care to our patients here.”

Dr. Johnson joins CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System after completing his residency at North Mississippi Medical Center Family Medicine Resident Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Previously, Dr. Johnson received both his medical degree and his undergraduate degree in Biology from Louisiana State University. Dr. Johnson is also a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He has an extensive background in community service, volunteering with CATCH Kids, Inc., the Tupelo Good Samaritan Clinic and with the Weston Reed Foundation. Dr. Johnson also speaks and writes Spanish fluently.
